Nigerians Don't Resign

We just don't!

Maybe it's because they say we are a resilient bunch, so we've taken resigning to mean giving up, admitting guilt.

So no matter the scandal, whether in public or religious life, resigning is not our portion. We must fight every evil propaganda against us to the end....even when we may be guilty.

Yes, even if we were guilty! 

Never give them a chance to get you. Keep a straight face and talk about how you are too committed to your job to care about what your detractors are saying. Sprinkle one or two mediocre achievements and claim these achievements are what riles up your enemies

They are just haters. No attention should be paid to them.

And if this does not cut it, deflect attention. Don't just leave it at general "detractors". Mention one or two names and accuse them of being behind your current travails. 

It does not matter if there is any connection between them and what you are being accused of. After all they are enemies, and enemies wish all kinds of evil on "themselves".

So never be pressured into resigning your position because of some mere accusations. Things like "I'm resigning to allow a transparent investigation" is mere yeye oyibo (white) nonsense. They don't know better.

You see, the only person who came close to making this unforgivable mistake is the evil genius himself, the Nigerian Maradona: IBB...for president!

You see as a military Czar, when the heat was just too much on him, what did he do?

In his own words, "I'm stepping aside" That's a world of difference! It means:

I'll be watching from the sidelines when all this noise dies down, I hope to be back....

And true enough to that, he put in place a one-kind interim government, but unfortunately for him our "palliative" former leader had other plans.

So you see, even though he only stepped aside, fate was not kind to him. Learn from him. 

Don't be like IBB.

Remember!

Accusation does not equal guilt. You are innocent until proven guilty. So remove from your head all that nonsense talk about resignation.

If they want to remove you from office, let them come and carry you on their head if they fit try am.
